5 things you need to know about visiting Candytopia

From the moment my family and I walked up to the pink door entrance of Candytopia, it was non-stop fun.

"Explore our sprawling sanctuary of confectionery bliss, tastefully curated by Hollywood Candy Queen Jackie Sorkin, realized by master fabricator Zac Hartog, and brought to life by life-long retailer, John Goodman."

To help you explore Candytopia, here are a few tips:

5. Bring your sweet tooth

Samples will be given along the way and major allergens will be marked, including gluten, dairy, egg, soy, peanuts, and tree nuts.

"Candytopia is a nut-free facility, with the exception of some types of per-packaged candy sold in our gift shop."

4. Make sure your phone/camera is fully charged. Each of the rooms you visit are chock-full of Instagram-able moments you'll want to share.

3. Keep an eye on the clock. You'll have just under 10 minutes per room so you'll want to make sure you see everything.

"A trip through Candytopia lasts a little over an hour."

2. Sign up at the photo kiosk when you first arrive and be on the lookout for markers indicating an overhead camera to snap your pic.

Side note: Hang onto your phone... especially in the marshmallow pit. We "heard" someone placed her phone on top of the marshmallows and somehow it disappeared like it was quick sand. We also "heard" that a kind cast member dove into the pit and recovered the phone just in time to take this photo.

1. Keepin' it 100. Your time goes fast but you'll have a blast in each of the themed rooms. If you miss something, you'll only have until July 4th to return.

"This four-month interactive art installation celebrates the vibrant colors and flavors of our favorite sugary delights across over a dozen environments, from flying unicorn pigs to a marshmallow tsunami."
