WinterFestOC 2016
My family and I love this time of year. We get to enjoy celebrating different holidays and cultural traditions. Being a multicultural family (Black, Mexican and Korean) we also get to create our own unique mash-up ones.
Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or Three Kings Day, December is a magical month to recognize diverse cultural celebrations and traditions. It is also a fun month of teachable moments that my family really gets into.
Wintertime in Southern California is unlike many other places. Our temps get low for Cali standards and, contrary to popular belief, we do have snow…you just have to drive a few hours outside of Los Angeles to find it.
Don’t want to drive that far but want the littles to check out the white stuff? Do what we’re planning to do and head to the OC to enjoy “Winter Fest!"
Winter Fest will feature real snow blown in daily for snow angels, snowman building and snow tubing for young children.
During certain days and times your littles will get to enjoy a meet and greet with some of their fave characters and stroll through a 2 million light illuminated pathway and explore 10 holiday themed lands that you and your family can walk through.
It will be a great, memorable time for the entire family!
They are also giving a special salute to our Heroes & First Responders! Veterans and active duty Military, Police, Fire & EMT's will be honored with FREE admission for themselves and 1 guest Dec. 16 - 18. Tickets will be available at the event ticket booth with valid ID only.
