Dinner and My Spy movie
While remaining “Safer at Home” my family has gotten closer. Hanging out together has been the silver lining during this pandemic. Prior to the pandemic, we did a lot of eating out or on the road and we were rarely home all together because of our hectic schedules.
During the last couple of months, my family has gotten really creative with our time together and with the meals we prepare so it was a nice treat to join Amazon Studios for a home-viewing of My Spy on Amazon Prime Video.
MY SPY, starring Dave Bautista exclusively on Amazon Prime Video follows JJ a hardened CIA operative (Dave Bautista) who has been demoted and finds himself at the mercy of a precocious 9-year-old girl, named Sophie (Chloe Coleman) where he has been sent undercover begrudgingly to surveil her family.
When Sophie discovers hidden cameras in her apartment, she uses her tech savviness to locate where the surveillance operation is set.
In exchange for not blowing JJ’s cover Sophie convinces him to spend time with her and teach her to be a spy. Despite his reluctance JJ finds he is no match for Sophie’s disarming charm and wit. The hilarious actioner is directed by Peter Segal from a script penned by Jon and Erich Hoeber and stars Dave Bautista, Chloe Coleman, Kristen Schaal, Parisa Fitz-Henley and Ken Jeong. Producers are Chris Bender, Peter Segal, Jake Weiner, Robert Simonds, Gigi Pritzker, Dave Bautista and Jonathan Meisner.
My family and I loved the movie. We also really appreciated the effort to support local, small businesses, as Amazon Prime Video partnered with some of their favorites in Los Angeles to bring us the best comfort food. We chose a Black-owned Chatsworth restaurant called Les Sisters and yummy dessert treats from Hilltop.
Everything was received straight to our doorstep utilizing their no-contact delivery.
Check out My Spy on Prime Video starting June 26th.
