Big Bunny’s Spring Fling at The LA Zoo

BIG BUNNY’S SPRING FLING at the Los Angeles Zoo celebrates the season with three bountiful days of “EGG-citing” adventure from Friday, March 30, to Sunday, April 1, 2018, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

My family and I were invited to attend the media day event today and share our egg-sperience with you.

While on spring break from school, my nephews (also my godsons) hung out with me for what they called "Camp Nina (godmother) day."

Our first activity was presented by 99 Cents Only Stores where the boys got a chance to plant wild flowers or vegetable seeds at the planting craft station.

My son planted tomatoes and my nephews planted pumpkins. It was fun for the youngsters.

Next up were photos with a “Big Bunny” character for a nominal fee.

It was an egg-celent day where I got a rare opportunity to hang with just the boys and meet up with another mom of boys, Aurora of @UnapologeticMermaid. 

As the day wound down and we walked toward the exit, Aurora shared her review of the day:

"We had a blast. So many exhibits we couldn't see it all in one visit.
My older son learned the importance of saying 'Please' at the Kiddie Karo adventure. Kiddle Karoo’s Easter Adventure Show runs at 11a.m. and 1 p.m. This cute show engaged both our 6 year old and the 16 month old. Lots of songs funny puppets and audience interaction.

The bunny nose and whisker face painting was a hit for the entire family.

The wildflower and seeds exhibit was a joy for our young gardener. He chose sunflowers.

First thing the boys had to see was the swans and they didn't disappoint.
Truly a great experience that I will share with my fellow spring breakers."

WHAT: BIG BUNNY’S SPRING FLING at the Los Angeles Zoo celebrates the season with three bountiful days of “EGG-citing” adventure from Friday, March 30, to Sunday, April 1, 2018, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fun for youngsters includes opportunities like a wild flower and vegetable seed-planting craft station presented by 99 Cents Only Stores, bunny nose and whisker face painting, entertainment by Kiddle Karoo’s Easter Adventure Show at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., strolling costumed “Spring Fairy” characters, photos with a “Big Bunny” character for a nominal fee, and two special keeper talks throughout the Zoo at 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. For more family fun, join the Spring Dance Party from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with special games and audience participation at 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 3 p.m. Rounding out the activities are an “EGG-ucation Station” to give inquisitive guests a chance to learn about rabbit senses, communication, and grooming habits and special up-close Animals & You presentations at 10:45, 11:45, and 12:45 featuring bunnies and other fuzzy critters.
